As a guide Utilita calculate their Energy Saving Tariffs from a Reference Price. The Reference Prices we have are; British Gas prices for gas on monthly direct debit, Old ‘Regional Electricity Company’ prices for electricity for monthly direct debit & British Telecom Option 1 for telecom

Energy Saving Tariff Summaries

planetsaver is the first dual fuel, carbon neutral tariff offered to domestic customers in the UK.

Customers are awarded planetpoints that are automatically redeemed so that CO2 emissions from the gas consumed are immediately offset with Climate Care (see www.climatecare.org ) and electricity is immediately sourced from 100% renewable projects in the UK and by purchasing Renewable Obligations Certificates. Customers also receive a comprehensive, free energy Home MOT.

planetsaver customers can opt-out of receiving carbon neutral gas and electricity, and instead redeem their planetpoints for energy saving products and technologies that will reduce their energy consumption by 30%, over a three year period.

The energysaverplus tariff saves energy at no additional cost to the customer. Customers also receive a high level of planetpoints, a Free Home Energy Survey and energy saving advice.

The energysaver tariff is a price-led, discounted product that still is able to offer energy efficiency through a lower level of planetpoints, a Free Home Energy Survey and energy saving advice.
